Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information WTX Water Wells collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.
WTX Water Wells connects property owners in Midland and Ector counties, Texas, with independent water well service providers. We do not carry out water well work ourselves.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our service request form or contact us, we collect the name, telephone number, property location or ZIP code, the type of service you select, and any description of the problem you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and device, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and the website or advertisement that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Call information. Telephone numbers shown on this site may be tracking numbers. If you call one, we may record the number you called from, the time and duration of the call, and which page or advertisement the number appeared on.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Match your enquiry with one or more water well service providers serving your area.
- Contact you about your enquiry by telephone, text message or email.
- Respond to questions you send us.
- Understand which pages and advertisements bring people to the site, so we can improve it.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and spam submissions.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
How we share your information
This is the most important section of this policy, so we have kept it plain.
We share the information you submit with third-party water well service providers. That is the purpose of this website. When you submit a service request, the details you provide may be passed to one or more independent providers so they can contact you about the work.
Those providers are separate businesses. They are not owned or controlled by WTX Water Wells, and once your information reaches them it is handled under their own privacy practices, not ours. We encourage you to ask any provider how they handle your information.
We may also share information with:
- Service vendors who operate this site on our behalf, such as web hosting, form processing, call tracking and analytics providers.
- Legal and safety recipients, where we believe disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- A successor business, if WTX Water Wells is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Calls and text messages
By submitting your telephone number through this website, you agree that WTX Water Wells and the service providers we connect you with may contact you at that number about your enquiry, including by automated dialling system, prerecorded message and text message.
Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text message, telling the caller you do not wish to be contacted again, or emailing us at service@wtxwaterwells.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly and to understand how it is used. Analytics services may set cookies that record which pages you visit and how you arrived. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how parts of this site work.
How long we keep your information
We keep service request information for as long as needed to connect you with a provider and to keep a record of the enquiry, and after that for as long as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Your choices and your rights
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. You may also ask us to stop contacting you.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, to obtain a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, and to opt out of processing for targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email service@wtxwaterwells.com. We will respond within the time required by law. If we decline your request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Other websites
This site may link to websites we do not operate, including those of service providers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
